Donc, let's switch to English!

.

We arrived safe in France on Tuesday, January 3rd, after 2 flights, with a connection in Iceland. That was a tough night! Then we waited for the train in Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris for 2 hours, traveled to Le Mans in 1h30 and arrived there at 4:30pm (it was then 10:30am in Boston, after a sleepless night!).

Our 4 parents were here to welcome us, which was great! We all went to our house, in Les Poiriers, and had dinner together (they had prepared a dinner for our arrival, so good!).

Since then, Lucie and Selma went back to school on Thursday, in Coulaines (a suburb city close to Le Mans, where our parents live). They found that the school days are longer than in the US (8:45am to 4:45pm) and the classes have more students (26 kids in Lucie's class). Everybody was very welcoming to them, so even though it was a bit hard in the first days with the jetlag, now they are happy to go to school in the morning!

We try to speak English together in the car, on our way to school, and back from school, everyday. We really want to keep practicing English for the girls, so that they don't lose this asset!

Vincent is back at University of Maine in Le Mans ('Maine' used to be a 'province' of western France around Le Mans and Laval). I'm back in some research projects, although still volunteering so far, but getting ready to create my consultancy.

We're still settling in at home, there's a lot to be sorted out before really moving in again. Especially as our trunk arrived today from Boston, with 100 kg of 'stuff'! The house was kind of "uncluttered" when we left for the US, so we'd like it to stay like this... A challenge!

We'll send more pictures when we get a chance to be at home when the sun is shining!  =)
